Carron Little is an international artist who lives and works across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe, holding an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Fiber & Material Studies and Digital Video Animation and a BA in Textile Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London with First-Class Honors. She has received numerous prestigious awards including the British Arts Council residency (2000-2001), the Propeller Grant from Gallery 400 and Andy Warhol Foundation (2015), and recent honors such as the Hyde Park Art Center Artist-Run award, Prince Bernhard Culture Award, and Mondrian Fund (all 2023). Little has presented her work extensively across the US and internationally in over a dozen countries, with notable community engagement projects including Dream Minds, City Alive with Dreams, Neighborhood Magic, and Spare Rib Revisited.
As a Cultural Producer with the outofsite_chi artist collective, she organizes public performance symposiums and facilitates artist conversations, while also writing policy including the successful 50|50 Initiative implemented at the College Arts Association in 2020. Little believes in the transformative power of art to facilitate diverse conversations with diverse communities and publics.
